Compliance & Responsibility

Doing business properly - because in this industry, that's the only way to do it

CAGS operates in a regulated industry, and we treat that responsibility seriously. For more than 40 years we have built our reputation on quality and trust, and that reputation depends as much on how we conduct ourselves as on what we manufacture.

This page sets out our commitments: who we sell to, how we market, and how we approach the laws of the many markets we supply.

We sell to businesses, not consumers

  • CAGS is a business-to-business manufacturer and supplier. We sell to distributors, wholesalers, retailers, importers, and brand owners, not to individual consumers.
  • Our website, catalogue, and communications are intended for trade and business audiences, and our products are supplied for lawful resale through properly licensed channels.
  • We expect buyers and partners to hold the relevant trade permissions, business registrations, and market-specific approvals required in their jurisdiction.

Age restriction

Tobacco and related products are strictly for adults. CAGS does not sell or market to minors, and our products are intended only for adults of legal age in their market.

  • Our website operates an age-verification gate and visitors must confirm they are of legal age to enter.
  • The minimum legal age varies by market, and we expect distributors and partners to comply with the lawful standard in their jurisdiction.
  • We will not knowingly supply any party that does not enforce lawful age restrictions.

Responsible marketing

  • We do not target minors in any communication, imagery, or channel.
  • We do not make health claims about our products, and nothing in our materials should be read as encouraging consumption or suggesting any product is safe.
  • Our marketing is directed at trade and business audiences, not the general public, in line with the rules of the markets we operate in.
  • We present our products factually through materials, specifications, and quality standards rather than glamorising use.

Responsible and sustainable business

Beyond legal compliance, we aim to operate responsibly in how we source, manufacture, package, and support long-term trading relationships. Responsibility is not separate from the business model. It is part of how we intend to last.

Regulatory compliance across our markets

Tobacco products are regulated differently in every market, and compliance is central to how we operate as an exporter. We work with partners to align products, packaging, labelling, and mandatory warnings with the requirements of each destination market.

  • European Union: product, packaging, labelling, and warning requirements are aligned to destination-market rules, including TPD-related expectations where applicable.
  • United States: market-entry and documentation requirements are handled according to the applicable federal and state framework for the products supplied.
  • National and regional laws: import rules, excise and duty treatment, labelling, and warning requirements vary by country, and we work with partners to meet the requirements of the destination market.
  • We do not pretend there is one universal global standard. What we offer is decades of export experience navigating these differences responsibly.

Product compliance & labelling

Every order, especially private-label and export orders, is checked so that packaging, labelling, ingredient declarations, and mandatory health warnings match the agreed specification and the destination market's legal requirements before dispatch.

For private-label clients, this market-fit work is part of the service.
